Welcome to Fray and Fancy!
Fray and Fancy began with a simple request from my partner, Charles the Goblin. Charles has a gift for dressing with whimsy, velvet coats, colorful hats, even his famously furry blue feet. But when it came to bow ties, the options always seemed limited: corporate dark or shiny satin, rarely anything playful.
So I made him one. Then another. Then a few more. And before long, I had discovered an endless world of vibrant fabrics and patterns that simply begged to be turned into bow ties.
Not everyone dresses as extravagantly as Charles, but I believe everyone deserves a little spark of joy in their wardrobe. A bow tie can be that spark: bold or subtle, classic or unexpected.
And bow ties are just the beginning. Soon I’ll be adding other kinds of neckwear and accessories, as well as crochet and machine-knitted hats, scarves, and fiber pieces that reflect the same playful spirit.
Working with patterns, textures, and color is what brings me joy. My hope is that Fray and Fancy brings a little of that joy to you, too.
